Jammu, September 30: The Directorate of School Education Jammu has announced a significant change in school timings for government and private institutions across the Jammu division effective from October.
According to an official order, schools located in the Summer Zone will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM starting this October. However, as November approaches, the timings will shift to 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
In contrast, schools within the Jammu Municipal Corporation limits and surrounding urban areas will maintain the 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule throughout the year, ensuring consistency for urban students.
For schools in the Winter Zone, the operating hours will commence from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM starting October 1, allowing for a timely adaptation to the changing seasonal conditions.
The Directorate has emphasized adherence to these new timings, warning of strict penalties for any institution that deviates from this order. This decision aims to streamline operational efficiency amid seasonal variations and improve student welfare.
School authorities and parents are advised to take note of these changes to ensure a smooth transition. The Directorate has expressed its commitment to facilitate a conducive learning environment that aligns with seasonal patterns.
