The Poshan Project Kot Bhalwal launched the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 with a comprehensive health awareness camp on October 1st, 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre and Government Ayurvedic Hospital, this initiative aimed to raise awareness about essential nutritional practices in Jammu.
This year’s themes focused on crucial public health issues such as Addressing Obesity, advocating for local nutrition solutions, and promoting Infant Young Child Feeding Practices. The event sought to encourage community participation for enhanced wellness.
Inauguration by Local Leaders
The program commenced with the inauguration by Sh. Sher Singh, the Additional District Development Commissioner of Jammu. He was joined by Special Guest Swami Yajnadharananda Ji, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, and Sh. Pankaj Anand, the District Programme Officer for Mission POSHAN Jammu.
Sh. Sher Singh highlighted the essential role of nutrition in improving the health of critical demographic groups, including children and pregnant women. “Good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy society,” he remarked during his opening speech.
