LG Manoj Sinha Chairs UHQ Meeting in Raj Bhavan Today

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a crucial Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting today at Raj Bhavan in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting is set to begin at 11 AM and will address significant security issues impacting the region.

The UHQ acts as the high command for security and intelligence operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Today’s discussions will center on the current security scenario, focusing on preparedness for the winter months and the recent escalations at the Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan.

Sources indicate that LG Sinha will receive updates from top officials regarding the prevailing security situation in J&K, especially along the LoC and the international borders within the Union Territory.

Attendees at this important review meeting include Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Duloo, and leaders from paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.

This meeting follows LG Sinha’s previous UHQ meeting held in May this year, which took place after the successful ‘Operation Sindoor.’ During that meeting, he emphasized the need for security agencies to conduct “precise, intelligence-led operations” aimed at neutralizing terrorists and dismantling their support networks.

As tensions continue along the LoC and winter approaches, proactive measures and evaluations like these become essential for maintaining security in the region. The outcomes of today’s discussions will be crucial in shaping the strategies adopted by security forces in the coming months.
